This was Darlins first show and she really took it all in her stride. We were thrilled when she was also awarded Judges Choice.

Imp - Amarilli's -GRCH Amazolou Cake Bythe occean. A mature 7 1/2yr old Blue Golden tipped sh Selkirk, head of medium build nice breadth across the rump and shoulders. Legs in proportion to his body with firm rounded paws. gently tapering rounded tipped tail which balanced the body was nicely furnished showing curls. Good breadth to the head, slightly wider then deep. Medium sized broad based ears set well apart. Nice sized greeny coloured eyes set well apart. broad nose with a downward slant in profile. Rectangular muzzle, level bite and firm chin. Head well balanced, coat short well prepared, soft texture of nice density showing plush curls of a uniform length. Lovely lad of good temperatment.

1 & BOB Amarilli’s Burleaway Bonfire Heart, Golden Tipped female. (BSH ny 12). 17.08.2024. Just old enough to enter the show, this young lady just took my breath away. Really lovely round head, and exquisite British SH type. Already a broad, rounded top of head, showing good breadth of skull. Already having small ears set wide apart. Ears show rounded tips and fit so nicely into the rounded contour of the head. Nicely rounded forehead. Eyes round, showing the green colour in the centres, and hopefully this will spread with development. Eyes have black rims. Nose short, broad, and straight. Nose has uniform width. Chubby round cheeks. A straight level bite, and firm chin. Such a very pretty face and lovely expression. Nice boning. Straight level back, and nice depth of chest. At the moment she has a pale apricot ground colour, which should deepen with growth and development. Clear black tipping showing and covering the required areas. Tipping clear and fairly uniform throughout. Chin, chest, tummy and underside of tail all free of any tipping. Tipping does go down the legs which then decreases towards her paws. Bright, alert, and full of great confidence, she took to judging and handling like a veteran. I awarded her my “Judges Choice” bag of goodies, which when placed in the pen, she chose to ignore. Groomed to the last hair, and full of great promise.

A.C. Selkirk Rex Imperial or Grand Champion Adult Male IMP – Amarilli’s GR CH AMAZOLOU CAKE BYTHE OCEAN (SRS ay 12) M 25/05/17. A mature and well balanced lad. Strong head with lovely full cheeks, broad slightly curved top with medium size round tipped ears set wide and to follow the rounded contours of the head. Rounded forehead, nose short and broad with a shallow break, well developed chin of good depth and a level bite, rectangular well padded muzzle with prominent whisker pads. Round eyes, open in expression and paler green colour. Short thick neck, well muscled and weighty body of cobby type with breadth and depth to the chest, good bone to short legs and large round tufted paws, medium length tail with compact plumy curls. Attractive blue golden pattern, mid blue tipping fairly heavy but even on the body, with a warm oatmeal ground. Coat short and very dense with plentiful rexing throughout and soft plush texture. 1 st CC LEE'S AMAZOLOU PORTOBELLO BLUE (BSH a, M, 30/04/2021) Very good type with apple shaped head fell cheeks and strong muzzle. Round top of head and very good profile. Large eyes are round and well opened and deep gold color. Coat is short firm texture and good density. Mid blue color with minimal silvering. Handled well.

CC & BOB – Amarilli’s DELPHINIUM PLATINUM COSMOS (BSH n) M 24/03/22. I do like the type of this lad, he still has some maturing to do but he is very nice indeed. Round head with good breadth between small round tipped ears, good full cheeks and rounded muzzle. Profile shows a gently rounded forehead, short broad nose with medium break, firm chin and level bite. Lovely eyes, large round and open with intense copper colour. Short strong neck, very good body type, chunky and cobby with good depth to chest, short thick legs and round paws, tail with rounded tip to balance. Jet black coat, almost sound with just a touch of paling at the roots today, short and very dense with a touch of crispness to it. A dear boy to handle, very friendly and purry. D.Brown

Grand Class 3B - AC Selkirk Rex, British LH, Chartreux Grand or Champion Adult Male GC AMARILLI'S GrCh AMAZOLOU CAKE BYTHE OCEAN (SRS ay 12, M, 25/05/2017) Excellent breadth of head and at the cheekbones on this mature chap! Medium ears well set, large round eyes, short downwards slanting nose and has a good breadth of muzzle. Nice wide level bite and firm chin. Cobby rectangular body, quite well boned legs, large paws with a tail that needs more waves but a good length. His coat is dense and stands away well with light waves throughout, wavy whiskers and waves better on sides. S Lorton-Hobbs

Amarilli’s Sewnsew A Stitch In Time, female. (BSH a). 29.06.2023. An older kitten at 7 months of age. Head not quite as balanced as I would like. It is round, and shows actually good breadth of skull. Ears medium in size, but show rounded tips. Ears quite well-placed. Forehead shows a very heavy brow, thus making the eyes quite deep-set. It does not help to have the round eyes small in shape. Eye colour a pleasing rich orange colour. Nose short, and broad, and straight. The nose shows a uniform width. Fairly full cheeks. The bite is level, and the chin is fine. Short thick neck here. Large cobby body. Very heavy boning. The back is straight. Legs thick, and paws round and firm. Full medium blue coat. The density and fullness is coming in nicely, but s5ll has a way to go. Tail full, and to balance, and does show a nice rounded tip. She handled very well, and was beautifully presented.
