Selkirk rex cat club christmas on-line show - December 2020
CH Amazolou Cake Bythe Ocean
Entered as Male Entire
Judge Pamela Beard-Smith
1st Cale (Amazolou Cake Bythe Ocean) M - Zoe Louise Amarilli. Just love the look this boy has. The late Anne Gregory who was a pioneer for this club used to have a phrase she used for describing the Selkirk look, it was owl like. I use this a lot when judging Selkirks. I say to myself does it have an owl like look. For me this boy does. His eyes are big bold and perfectly round. His head has excellent overall balance and his muzzle as much as I can tell from the photo is a matchbox shape He is not a big boy but good things come in small packages. For a SH he has an exceptionally longer coat than most. If the coat is too short the curls appear more like waves than curl. He has an abundance of curl not often seen in a SH. A very excellent example and he stole my heart.
GRCH Amazolou Radio Star
Entered as Male Entire
Judge Pamela Beard-Smith
2nd Buggles (Amazolou Radio Star) M - Zoe Louise Amarilli. Another lovely boy. He too has big bold round eyes typical of a Selkirk but from what I can see from the photo lacks the width and overall balance of the winner. Substantial boy with excellent boning. Like the winner he too has a coat longer than most SH showing very good curl and substance. I hope I see them both in the flesh when shows resume.
Amazolou Whipper Snapper
Entered as Male Kitten
Judge Pamela Beard-Smith
1st Whippersnapper (Amazolou Whippersnapper) Zoe Louise Amarilli. On first looking at this photo I didn't think he would be my winner but looking more closely at the photo for me he had the best type. His ears are a bit tall at the moment but he has some attractive exaggerated tufts which I love. He has a lovely owl like expression going on and well defined padded whiskers and matchbox muzzle. Excellent boning. His coat looks soft and in the flesh is probably curlier than in looks in the photo. I loved him.
Amazolou Atticus
Entered as Male Kitten
Judge Pamela Beard-Smith
2nd Atticus (Amazolou Atticus) Zoe Louise Amarilli What a lovely baby this little boy is. He has good development in his head for his age and his eyes are round and bold. He reminds me such a lot of Jet Ranger the emblem on the club's badge. He has a lovely coat of abundant tight ringlets which look soft and plush.
Amazolou Pipsey Dipsey
Entered as Male Kitten
Judge Pamela Beard-Smith
3rd Pipsey Dipsey (Amazolou Pipsey Dipsey) Zoe Louise Amarilli What a little poppet. I wonder if he is related to the winner. His head looks a little narrow and his ears a little tall but he's got plenty of time for everything to sort itself out. His coat is a good length and curly but doesn't look as thick or plush as the winner.
Annette Star
Entered as Female Kitten
Judge Pamela Beard-Smith
2nd Miyoko (Amazolou Miyoko) SH Zoe Louise Amarilli A dainty female. She has a nicely rounded head and big bold eyes. Her body looks well boned. Her coat is definitely wavy but I would like to see a little more curl. I liked her but felt the winner was further on in development and more balanced than this little lady

A great Little show in the absence of a real show. Cake gained Best Selkirk Adult in the whole show.
Amazolou Peekaboo
Entered as Female Adult Entire
Class 1 Any colour Selkirk Rex LH Adult Judged by Pamela Beard Smith3rd Peekaboo (Amazolou Peekaboo) Zoe Louise Amarilli I loved the angle of this photo. It shows what a corker of a match box muzzle she has. Her face is very pretty with the split colour. She is a big girl with good bone and her coats looks very soft with plenty of curl. The photo also brings out the subtle colours in her coat.
