This was a great show to start the year off with. Neko my home grown
baby boy won Best Kitten in Show at the RCA, the show was also held
along side the Short Hair Cat Society so Neko also won plenty of
placings in that show too.

£185 towards the club funds.

Our main stall helper Anne is in hospital with
a major Op so we kept her up to date with all
the shows goings on and missed her hugely.

the cheeks, very good prominence to the whisker pads, round on the brow, good
chin & level bite.  Ears are medium size, some curly interiors & small tufted tips, well
placed.  Her eyes are quite large & well open, the colour a bright tone, interesting

1stAMARILLI’S  AMAZOLOU MANEKI NEKO.  79s  43s.03-06-11.  Black Silver shaded, splendid kitten of some quality & presence.  Lovely size & substance, showing good depth
&maturity for his age, beautifully muscled, strong legs, good size paws, quite a heavy tail of medium length.  Head very promising, it is already well rounded & possesses full well developed
cheeks, round on his brow broad nose & excellent prominent pads to create the required matchbox effect to his muzzle, excellent chin & bite.  Ears are medium size, set well, curly interiors,
small tufted tips.  Very good eyes, being large & round in shape, lovely expression.  Gorgeous coat, tight rippled well throughout, tighter at the neck, chest, tummy & beneath the tail, on the
body it was loose & completely unstructured, also curl down the legs.   Has a very good even shaded superficial pattern, with a clear silver undercoat, but no points so completely irrelevant
in many ways, black eye liner & paw pads, lovely curly whiskers & eye brows.  Wonderful condition & super confident temperament, a lovely exhibit.
SELKIRK REX KITTEN OVER 6 MONTHS MALE; Mrs C Wren
1 AMARILLI’S AMAZOLOU MANEKI NEKO
– 03.06.11. Shaded silver shorthair. Very pretty baby. Good width between medium sized well set ears which are broad at the base.
Broad rounded forehead and the cheeks are starting to fill.  Deep break to the broad straight nose, brick leather. Muzzle is developing well, shows good rectangular shape but just needs to
strengthen more. Good chin, level bite. Very well grown for his age. The body is a little long at present but there is good depth developing and he still has plenty of frame to fill. Good bone
to the sturdy legs, Big rounded feet. He has an excellent coat with a lovely soft texture. It is full of life and shows lots of curl already.
OGC.  Walker’s IGR CH AMAZOLOU MR BRIGHTSIDE.  79L 43s.  What a lovely boy with a real ‘wow’ factor.   A real muscular cobby body with thick medium length tail.
Substantially boned legs with rounded paws.   Nice round broad head with full cheeks. Has gentle nose break.  Broad at base medium size ears set well apart. Really nice large round well-
open eyes of pale green colour.   Really thick dense coat with no bare patches.  Coat stands out well from body. Very full semi long coat very evenly covered being unstructured.  Showing
very good silvering and a very pleasing exhibit.   Delighted to see he got Overall Best in Show.

79L 43s.11-05-09.  Longhair Black Silver Shaded, impressive looking chap, now mature & substantial & ‘Didn’t he do well!  Head has full rounding with well developed & filled out cheeks,
has an excellent matchbox shaped muzzle, with prominent whisker pads, has a rounded brow & slight nose break, the chin is strong, excellent bite.  Ears medium size, placed well apart,
small tufts on the tips, plenty of longer curly interiors.  Lovely eyes, well open rounded shape, black rims, with  pale green colour & a  very trusting expression.  Has strong neck, body has
deepened off considerably since I handle him last, broad chest, well-proportioned strong legs & good size paws, well balanced length tail with impressive curly plume effect.  His coat was
splendid, full excellent length, loose & completely unstructured, parting easily, the curl all over including the frill round the shoulders & even his breeches were curly.  Texture was soft &
bouncy & stood away from the body.  No points for colour but just to say he had quite an even amount of black shading over a very well defined silver undercoat.  His condition was
splendid & he was incredibly gentle & trusting.  Not only did he also win the Olympian today, he later became Best of Variety British, which he climaxed later by becoming Best Overall
Exhibit, so very well done indeed.

IMP GR WALKER’S  GR PR AMAZOLOU THE NEW SCHMOO.
79s 39d.13-04-08.  Red Tipped Selkirk Rex,has now all grown up & filled out.  The head is round, with very good
fullness to the rounded cheeks, very good muzzle with matchbox effect, very good rounding over the brow, excellent chin & the bite was level.  Ears are spaced well, smaller medium size,
with slight pointed tufts at the tips, some curl to the interiors.  Eyes open & well rounded, green in colour.  Body well grown & with good depth chest, firm musculature, strong flanks, the
legs strong medium length, round paws, tail of balanced medium length & thickness.  Coat was beautifully soft plush texture, loose unstructured curl all over his body, which was beautifully
prepared & parted easily, with ripples & flicks down the legs, & curl also evident on the tail, curly whiskers & eyebrows.  He was in splendid condition & his manners were impeccable, being
hyper critical just required a little more masculinity.  Anyway that aside, congratulation as he was Best British Neuter.

A handsome, mature boy of outstanding quality with the most beautiful Selkirk coat that was dense, soft and well-rexed – so relaxing to just bury your fingers in and massage! I love the
colour although it carries no points …. So delicate to have the red tipping.

Well it's that time of the year again, the Supreme Cat
Show at the NEC. So Thursday was spent bathing cats,
Friday was spent powdering cats and then the afternoon
at the NEC setting up the club stall and the exhibition
pens. A stupidly early 4am rise on Saturday morning to
finish of the cats prep and then off to the NEC we went.

Most of our cats were on exhibition with Munchkin
being shown along side her son Oompalumpa as some
of the first British Blue Goldens on exhibition in the
show, with Munchkins daughter on show last year as
the first.

Reby did brilliantly up against 5 lovely Selkirk kittens
and gained Best of Breed over them all, then in the last
18 for for section. Hero gained his fifth Master Cat
Certificate and was given his title medal.

It was great to spend several hours with good friends,
fellow mad as hatter cat lovers and generally having a
fab day. Norman played the trusty donkey for the
eleventh year in a row and helped with all the humping
of cat kit and stall merchandise, so big thanks to my
man yet again for tolerating my kitty hobby so well.
